Walkway Landing Slab Edge Repair

Damage – Honeycombing of concrete slab edge due to uneven compaction of the concrete during the original pour when constructed & inadequate coverage of steel bar chair ends.

Problems it caused – Rusting of slab edge and concrete spalling.

Work done – Removal of bar steel ends to provide adequate coverage, then formed and poured new slab edge profile.

Timeframe – 2 weeks.
